A Family Advent Calendar
Count down the days to Christmas by preparing a Bethlehem stable warmed with special visitors and prayers to welcome the Holy Infant.
More than just “opening doors,” this Advent calendar involves children in their own spiritual preparation for Christmas. Your children will:
🔹 See Advent progress with a daily cut-and-color activity and short prayer,
🔹 Discover a beautiful and ancient poetic tradition of the Church for the season,
🔹 Pray a Nativity novena with the whole family.
Beginning December 1st, children cut out the star, animals, angel, Joseph, Mary, and finally Baby Jesus, color the figures, and attach them to the stable scene. In addition, special stickers are included to keep track of the seasonal devotions.
Daily prayers, the “O Antiphons,” the Christmas Novena, and the singing of the traditional Advent hymn O Come, O Come Emmanuel round out the activities for a prayerful preparation for the coming of our Infant King.
