Comic: A Tale of Patrick Peyton: Family Rosary
The Tale of Patrick Peyton vividly brings to life the American Apostle of the Family Rosary. Born to a humble family in Ireland, the energetic young boy embarked on an adventure beyond his wildest dreams. His journey took him to the United States where he found his true calling as a priest of the Congregation of the Holy Cross and a promoter of family prayer. Using television, radio, and film, Father Peyton was a zealous modern-day missionary who encouraged devotion to the Blessed Mother and inspired families to pray together. His motto was: "The family that prays together stays together." Now declared "Venerable" by the Church, Fr. Peyton's inspiring life story is available for the first time in a comic book format.

My children were all voracious readers, but we found a "comic book" format such as The Tale of Patrick Peyton to be PERFECT for shorter car trips or while waiting at appointments, etc., and piqued their interest to read longer biographies and full-length classic novels. (This format was also a life-saver for one of my children who got car sick if he read regular books--we lived in the country and were in the car a lot!)
