A Wreath of Flowers: Marian Activities for Children
Features 31 days of stories, activities, puzzles, crafts, art projects, coloring pages, prayers, and hymns. The enjoyable activities include making a home altar, a Marian banner, Fatima puppet skit, paper and cord rosaries, scapular, origami and felt flowers, votive lantern, a Lady window, Mary garden, and much more!
Completely revised and expanded from our previous edition. 45 pages!
Along with the activities, there are daily prayers and an introduction to some less familiar Marian prayers and hymns, background explanations of why the activities are appropriate, plus interesting facts and stories about our Blessed Mother and her favors.
After the daily prayers are recited, the child places a flower sticker around the illustration of Mary featured at the top of the calendar. At the end of the thirty-one days, a floral wreath will encircle her image. Could our Lady refuse such an offering of love and devotion from her little ones?
A Wreath of Flowers is able to be used by young children with a parent's guidance and involvement, as a family activity with older siblings, or by older children on their own.
Fostering love, understanding and devotion to Our Blessed Mother in their children is a requisite for Catholic Parents. Habits formed early are habits for life. With a Wreath of Flowers as a daily guide, the practice of honoring Mary in her month of May will become a fond tradition.
